FROM HAPPY TO HORROR: USING PRACTICAL LIGHTING TO SET THE MOOD
Summary:
It’s time once again for Course Director Michael Hanly’s annual Halloween-themed Live From the Hive.
This year’s LIVE is a continuation of the two previous Halloween themes – Horror Lighting and Avoiding the Horror of Bad Set Safety. In this session, Professor Hanly takes on the perceived horror of relying on practical lighting tools to light your set.
We’ll show you how to use things you already have in your home or can be acquired from a short trip to a home improvement store or furniture warehouse to set specific visual tones.
TOPICS INCLUDED:
- Defining Practical Lighting
- Visual Lighting Styles
- Practicals As Set Dressing
- Practicals As Lighting Kit Enhancements
Zoom Host: Course Director for Project and Portfolio 2, Michael Hanly’s
