The phrase “Set Horror Stories” is attributed to those times that something didn’t quite go correctly during a production. Unfortunately, some of these stories involve improper set safety. This month’s DCBuzz is designed to give advice and tips on how to best avoid having your own Horror Stories.
Join Professor Michael Hanly as he discusses set safety with Professors Andy Raut and Randy Baker along with Lab Specialists Jessica Cobine and Alan Harris. They will share their advice and some of their own “horrific” set stories.
This session will also include demonstrations on:
- Scouting a location for safety concerns
- Purpose of a set safety meeting
- Safely setting up in a small space
- Safety walkthrough with actors
- Safely changing camera setups
Session will also have a Q&A option for answer questions at the end of the presentation.
