DC Buzz May Zoom Series: Interview Tanya Webb, Art Department

This month, Lab Specialist Jessica Cobine will host the DC Buzz and interview Film Alumni Tanya Webb.
Tanya Webb graduated from the film program in August 2015 and immediately moved to Atlanta. Since she also had a degree in journalism, she first thought she would pursue a career in documentary or studio news production. That is, until she discovered the art department, particularly set decoration.
Since that move to Atlanta, Tanya has worked on multiple productions at Tyler Perry Studios, including various series, several Madea movies, and other feature films. Her credits also include the Marvel series Echo, the Fox television series Star and The Gifted, and the soon-to-be-released fourth Disney Descendants movie, Rise of Red. She has built a solid reputation in Atlanta as a buyer for set decoration.
In today’s discussion, Tanya will provide an overview of the art department, set decoration, and the collaborative effort needed to bring sets to life.
