March Wiltshire an Editor on Lee Daniel’s “STAR” for 20th Century Fox, will be joining the DCBS program to talk with you about working in Post-Production, breaking into the industry as an Assistant Editor, and how a career in Editing can carve out a path for directing in television.

Marc Wiltshire is a Film & Television Editor known for the hit show “STAR”, the Emmy Nominated “Ocean Treks with Jeff Corwin” and the acclaimed documentary “Bomb It 2”.
Born in Montreal, Canada, he began his career writing, directing and editing award-winning short films such as “Flamousse” (2006), Speakeasy (2007), and My Avatar (2011). Marc completed his Masters of Fine Arts in Filmmaking at New York University’s Tisch Asia, in Singapore. Filmmakers Oliver Stone (“Platoon”, “JFK”) and Todd Solondz (“Welcome to the Dollhouse”, “Happiness”) functioned as mentors in the making of Marc’s NYU short film “My Avatar”, which premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival in 2011. His film “Bullshit” (2016) became a hit on the festival circuit, winning awards in Canada, the United States and Australia.
He moved to Los Angeles in 2015 to pursue a career in post-production, where he has worked as an Editor and Assistant Editor on a variety of Feature Films and Television series. Most recently, he was the lead Assistant Editor on the Limited Series “A TEACHER” starring Kate Mara and Nick Robinson.
A dynamic filmmaking instructor and guest lecturer, Marc’s goal is to inspire and generate creativity, all while having a great time making movies. Marc says, “I learn as much about filmmaking from my students as I do from my own work. Aspiring filmmakers bring a fresh perspective and an energy that is contagious, which is why I love teaching.”
